Ina May Gaskin (USA)

Ina May Gaskin, born on 8 March, 1940   MA, CPM, PdD (Hon.), the founder and director of the Farm Midwifery Center, the founding members of the MANA. She served on the MANA Board and as its President for six years. She created the Gaskin Maneuver, wrote Spiritual Midwifery, Ina May‘s Guide to Childbirth, Ina May‘s Guide to Breastfeeding, and Birth Matters. She is originator and curator of the Safe Motherhood Quilt Project (www.rememberthemothers.org). Her own website is www.inamay.com
